CELLO

The moment Emma saw her Mum demonstrating what a cello is (through mime) when she was aged 12, Emma knew it was for her. Fast forward a few years and she’s played her beloved instrument across the world, for audiences vast and few. Emma particularly enjoys performing outside of the classical genre and has played gigs including Woodford Folk Festival, Jungle Love Festival, Yonder Festival, Brisbane Festival and venues such the Brisbane Powerhouse, The Triffid, GOMA, QPAC and Can You Keep A Secret, with like-minded musos. She has recorded cello and played live with bands including The Jungle Giants, The Gypsy Cats, The Belligerents, The Jensens and the late Tara Simmons. In between playing and teaching cello, flirting with other instruments and reading books, she’s away camping in Lila, her 1974 pop-top Kombi.
